Love your work, really great to view your illustrations. I'm into bristol architecture and came across your drawings after researching different types of doors in totterdown houses for a project I'm working on. What pens do you use, I'm thinking of investing in some new pens for illustration.
Catherine: Many thanks for your kind comments. It’s always good to get input from fellow-artists (although I’m hardly an artist!). The pens I use are pretty basic (but I’ve using them for the last couple of years and love them): I buy them from Stationery World, 63 Park Street, Bristol; they’re called “Writer” and are manufactured by Kuretake Co Ltd; they’re white in colour with black pen tops; they have nibs at each end (0.5mm and 1.2mm); pigment ink, acid free, archival quality, lightfast, waterproof, fade proof, non-bleeding… and quite CHEAP!! I’ll look forward to seeing the results of your Totterdown-doors project… will you post stuff on your blog? regards Steve
